Costa Rica Property Sales was conceived under this ideal of “Serving a Higher Purpose”, and a broad vision that recognizes/sees the big picture.
As founder and active President /CEO (Gary L. Haynes) having come to Costa Rica some 20 years ago it was inevitable that Costa Rica would become a very popular place. Many who would come here and discover the tremendous business opportunities this country had to offer as I had.
With a background in custom home and commercial construction (USA and Canada) which began in 1975, exposure to international finance at the highest levels, through these experiences, it was not difficult for me to identify that the country was on the verge of tremendous growth, particularly in the real estate and development sector. In 1988/89 after a 2 week exploratory visit to Costa Rica, I returned to my home in Orlando Florida, packed up my belongings, settled my affairs, and was back living in Costa Rica permanently within 3 weeks. I was this convinced and I am very happy to say, I was not mistaken!
Real estate in Costa Rica has indeed seen tremendous growth over the years and this growth continues to this day! As a matter of fact, and for anyone wondering, the best years are still yet to come, so anyone considering Costa Rica real estate investments can feel assured in this regard, that they have not missed the boat!
Has the price of real estate risen over the years? It has indeed! However, the speculative nature and related risks have diminished tremendously. Many people we meet often tell us how they wish they would have been here 20 years ago to buy real estate in Costa Rica. Well let me assure you that unless you were a seasoned real estate speculator with a significant amount of financial resources that your were willing to risk a portion of speculating on real estate in Costa Rica, most people, (even those with the significant resources) would not have taken the risk. It was just to speculative 15 to 20 years ago. The point is… You have not missed the boat and the best years are yet to come here in Costa Rica real estate and investments related.
Presently residing in Costa Rica as a permanent legal resident since 1989, I have learned many lessons over the years about the do’s and don’ts, the how to and the how not to. Quite frankly, there was no one here back in the 80’s when I arrived that could guide me with any accountability to accompany their advise and direction! Everyone was winging it back then and everyone had a wide variety of advice to share.
